Are you coming to stay and wondering what to do during your time in Edinburgh this month? Read on to learn more about the events and activities we recommend for July 2012 in the Scottish capital:
Spend some time relaxing at the Meadows this weekend! From 6-8 July the Meadows will be transformed into a culinary paradise for foodies. The Taste of Edinburgh is a brilliant opportunity to sample the flavours of Scotland, and to enjoy some masterpieces of culinary art crafted by chefs currently working in Scotland. This year the event is featuring Chez Roux, Angels with Bagpipes and other selected restaurants. Lothian Buses nos. 23 and 27 take you straight from The Walton to the Meadows in no more than 10-15 minutes time.

Madonna’s World Tour is coming to Edinburgh on 21 July. The show is part of her MDNA Tour, and it starts at 19.00 on the day. Tickets for her performance at Murrayfield Stadium are still available!
The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival is on from 20-29 July. 14 venues across the city centre – among them Salon Elegance and the Edinburgh Playhouse – host artists like Jools Holland, Barbara Morrison and Colin Steele. To reserve your tickets call Hub Tickets on 0131 473 2000.
Walk the Water of Leith! A leisurely walk along the lush banks of the Water of Leith, the picturesque stream running through the heart of Edinburgh from Leith to Balerno is a great way to spend a summer’s afternoon. The Water of Leith Walkway at Canonmills and thus the opportunity to explore a quieter side of Edinburgh is a mere five minute stroll away from The Walton.
