The best way to find out more about our rates here at The Walton is to use our Booking Calendar. This is a tool, which allows you to browse different dates, see whether we have availability for the period you’d like to stay – and of course, it also gives you the live rate applicable for your choice.
Give it a try, it’s easy! Simply click on your chosen arrival date and enter the number of nights you wish to stay, then hit ‘check availability’.
We have what we call our regular, or “rack” rates. These prices (for example, a room rate of £45 for a single room, including our delicious breakfast in March) are our guidelines. These are the rates we will usually offer as a standard good value rate whenever people book well in advance, or closer to the time if only a few rooms are still available.
If we still have heaps of rooms left for last minute bookings, we will lower our rates – sometimes dramatically! To stay with the example of our single room in March: we have been known to reduce the rate to £25 from £45 on the day if it proved difficult to find any takers for this lovely single room!
During busy periods, the value of our rooms goes up. During ‘Special Events’ like the Madonna concert in July, or every year during Hogmanay the comfortable city centre accommodation we offer is highly sought after – our rooms are in demand, and our ‘Special Events’ rates reflect their value during these times in which Edinburgh is buzzing with people and fun things to do!
